Maybe the wisdom is looking for new ways to manage post-op dental pain.

A new study by the University of Michigan claims having your wisdom teeth pulled could lead to Opioid addiction.

Their research shows people between the ages of 13 and 30 who used Opioid after taking out wisdom teeth are nearly three times more likely to refill prescriptions.

There's nearly 3.5 million wisdom procedures each year in the U.S. and insurance data between 2009 and 2015 shows people who refilled initial prescriptions were at high risk of persistent Opioid use.
