USA MEN'S NATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TEAM COMING TO TOWN

Posted: Updated:
The USA Men's National Volleyball Team is coming to town to begin training for the 2018 FIVB World Championships that will be held September 9-30 in Italy and Bulgaria.  The MNT will be here from July 22-29 and will be training at Punahou, Iolani, Kamehameha, and Kalani High School.
This event brings home our local boys Micah Christenson, Erik Shoji, and Kawika Shoji.  We are so proud of all their accomplishments and this a great opportunity for our volleyball fans and athletes to be able to watch them play in our home town.  Two other local boys Micah Ma'a and Tui Tuileta and UH standout Taylor Averill will also be joining the training team.
The training sessions at Punahou are closed but the session at Iolani will be open to the public with a Q&A session to follow.  The team will then have their Red/Blue Matches at Kamehameha and Kalani High School.  Admission for the matches will be $10 at the door.
Here's the schedule:
  • Thursday, 07/26/18, 9am - Iolani High School Gym
  • Friday, 07/27/18, 7pm - Kamehameha-Kapalama (Kekuhaupio Gym)
  • Saturday, 07/28/18, 6pm - Kalani High School Gym
