HAWAII - The annual military exercise involves 26 nations and more than 25,000 military personnel training in Hawaii waters until August 2nd. Exercises include bombing the 133,000 acre "Pohakuloa training" area on the Big Island.

Former cultural monitor at Pohakuloa Kealoha Pisciotta said, "the whole issue of bombing Hawaii, which the word doesn't seem to understand,that we are being bombed, all over the place and that we're really living in this kind of oppression." The forum was organized by the "Malu Aina Center for non-violent education and action and they're also demonstrating against exercises at various locations around Hilo this month.
