HONOLULU - Bikeshare system Biki celebrates its first birthday Thursday.

In their first year, users rode more than 800,000 rides in Honolulu.

The company will continue to expand their locations by installing two new stations: one at Whole Foods Market on Queen Street and another at Biki Headquarters, 914 Ala Moana Blvd.

“Together with the grid of bike lanes in Honolulu’s urban core that our administration continues to develop, we are making our roads more inviting to all users while living up to the principles of the Complete Streets law that was passed in 2012," Mayor Kirk Caldwell said.

Celebrations will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Honolulu Hale pavilion facing King Street.
