Firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Waimea Valley and Iliohu Place that is emitting large plumes of smoke around.

The alarm call alerting firefighters of the fire came in at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday.

According to fire officials, the fire is in an inaccessible area and they are currently trying to get personnel to the area.

Honolulu Fire Department is doing water drops with Air 1 and Air 2.

Honolulu police could close down roads if the smoke from the fire starts to impact visibility.
