KONA, Hawaii - 29-year-old Benjamin Keely of Hawaiian acres died Saturday night after he and another man were pulled from the waters near the Kona international airport. Police say the two were aboard a 20-foot fishing boat when it struck a cliff and Keely was thrown overboard. The other man 48-year-old Gary Witt of Hawaii Ocean View Estates brought Keely to shore and was trying to save his life when waves took both men back into the ocean.

They were brought to Kona hospital where Keely was pronounced dead. Witt was injured but was last listed in stable condition.
