The City and County of Honolulu is trying to shut down a scooter-sharing program city officials say is illegal.

'Lime-S' started last week and according to our partners at Pacific Business News, the Honolulu Police Department has seized around eighty-one of the company's electric scooters.

Users park the scooters on a street curb or near a bike rack when they are done.

The city says they are not allowed to park on city property.

They told the company 'Lime-S'  to stop the program until they have the right authorization.
