County Civil Defense officials say exposure to the gas can cause choking and breathing problems
Another fissure erupted inside "Lanipuna Gardens" Tuesday morning, making the total now twenty overall.
A big concern is more toxic gas being emitted from the vents.
In some areas the levels of sulfur dioxide are so high that it poses an immediate danger to anyone nearby.
County Civil Defense officials say exposure to the gas can cause choking and breathing problems.
The county says the warnings apply to an area near vents in the southeast section of the Lanipuna Gardens neighborhood and nearby farm lots.
The City and County of Honolulu sent an eleven member "Incident Management Team" to help with emergency operations on the Big Island today.
Honolulu Fire Department also shipped fifty full-face mask respirators and 500-filters.
The total cost came out to about 39,000 dollars.
