(Hawaii Athletics) - The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball duo of Brett Rosenmeier and Colton Cowell won both of their pool play matches on the first day of the USAV Collegiate Beach Championships.

In Pool A, the team of Robert Mullahey and Owen Yoshimoto of Pepperdine came out on top after a pair of wins and advance to Friday's semifinals as the No. 1 seeded team. They will face either FSU's Justice/Wienckowski or UC Irvine's Dante Chakrovorti and Grant Friedman.
If Rosenmeier and Cowell win their semifinal match, they advance to Saturday's finals which will be televised nationally on NBCSN on a delayed basis. The championship match is scheduled for 8:20 a.m. HT. A loss would send them to the third place match also on Saturday beginning at 6:00 a.m. HT.
