Hey Yelpers! It's Emi Hart with your Local Yelp on Island News! Spring cleaning is a great opportunity to de-clutter your space—and then to clutter it back up again with great new finds. Try your hand at interior design and go wild at these five local spots.
After two years of looking everywhere Yelper Sherrie K has finally found the bedroom dresser that she was looking for at Fishcake in Kakaako. Fishcake has taught her that you don't need the same look in one room, you just have to know how to combine the looks to make it interesting.
Down the street at Worldwide Furnishings, Yelper Warren N says You won't find cheap particle board stuff there –– just solid wood, mostly teak furniture. Their furniture does not have glass-smooth finishes, but the less than perfect finishes have a rustic feel to them.
Get back to basics at Creative Furniture in Kakaako. Yelper Vivian K notes it's not a fancy furniture store, but they do specialize in futon. The formula is pretty simple: choice of frame, size, color, mattress, and mattress cover.
At Eden In Love at the South Shore Marketplace, Yelper Amanda A is redesigning her world from top to bottom. This store has a lot of cute knick knacks and accessories, from beauty to home to office.
At Aoki's North Shore Trading, Yelper Victoria M coos this is my absolute favorite boutique up at the North Shore. It has amazingly cute stuff, such as little bags, home decor, and great gifts.
