A 37-year-old man is in police custody after a more than six-hour stand-off at the Palolo Homes housing complex Sunday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., police said they were called to a neighborhood park on reports of a man with a firearm.  When police arrived, the suspect left in a car and drove to the nearby housing complex and into a second floor apartment.

Residents of the housing complex were asked to evacuate.

Shortly after 9 a.m. the suspect surrendered to police and was taken into custody.  The man was arrested on suspicion of having an unregistered firearm with a prohibited high capacity magazine, terroristic threatening and assault.

He has not yet been charged.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
