Strong winds have resulted in fallen trees and the closure of a Department of Parks and Recreation facility Wednesday.

Two fallen Ironwood trees are down at Kailua Beach Park, plus a large portion of an 'opiuma tree at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park. Another two kiawe trees fell at Kapi'olani Park; one onto a light pole. No people were reported injured in either situation.

Wahiawa Botanical Garden closed Wednesday because of the winds, which created "hazardous conditions."  The staff will reassess Thursday if the weather is safe enough to reopen the facility.
