(Hawaii Athletics) - The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team will meet CSUN for the second time this year when it hosts the Matadors in a Big West matchup on Saturday, Feb. 10. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors (13-9, 4-5 BW) won at Northridge, 65-46, on January 6 behind a stellar defensive effort and Mike Thomas' 24 points and 11 rebounds. UH has won seven straight over the Matadors and is undefeated against them at home since joining the Big West (5-0).
Both teams come in hungry for win. The Matadors (5-19, 2-8 BW) have lost five straight games, the latest being a 21-point setback at UC Irvine on Wednesday. UH, meanwhile is on a season-long four game skid which continued after they were upset by UC Riverside, 64-60, on Wednesday.
The 'Bows look to avoid dropping their fifth straight game, which would be their longest streak ever in the Big West and longest overall streak since the 2011-12 season. Hawai'i remains in sixth in the Big West standings.
Following its game vs. CSUN, UH will head to the road for games at UC Irvine (Feb. 15) and UC Riverside (Feb. 17).
