OAHU, Hawaii - A Flood advisory has been issued for the island of Oahu until 10:15 p.m. tonight. At 7:15 p.m. today radar showed heavy rain on the Waianae coast moving northeast at 15 mph. Radar has also indicated more heavy rain for the west and southwest areas of Oahu in the next few hours. The locations affected include but are not limited to Honolulu, Hauula, Waimanalo, Mililani, Wahiawa, Waialua, Schofield Barracks, Kaneohe Marine Base, Hawaii Kai, and Kahaluu. Oahu residents are warned to stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas. Rainfall and runoff will lead to hazardous driving conditions. Stay tuned to Island News for weather updates.
