Flash Flood Warning continues for Kauai
A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for the island of Kauai. The Flash Flood warning was put into effect at 5:15 p.m. today and the warning has been extended past its original projected time of 6:45 p.m. Due to flash flooding occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas the Kauai Emergency Management Agency warns to exercise caution on roads and expect low visibility when driving. Kuhio Highway near Hanalei Bridge has been closed until further notice. The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Hanalei Elementary school. Stay tuned to Island News for weather updates.
