Bruno Mars wasn't the only Hawaii artist nominated for a Grammy's.

Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning musician Josh Tatofi and group Ho'okena were both up for awards in the regional roots music category.

A Cajun music group walked home with the award but Tatofi says he was honored to have even earned a nomination.

This is the musician's first trip to New York- and he's digging the weather.

“I'm actually loving the cold because I'm like Polynesian, being in the cold is actually you can wear long pants and sweaters and jackets which is cool I brought my dad along with me on this trip so that's probably the most amazing part of this trip,” Tatofi said.

Tatofi is just 26-years-old and says he looks forward to recording more music.
