Professional basketball returns to Honolulu, as the Hawaii Swish takes on the Southwest Atlanta Warriors, Jan. 6, starting at 7:30 p.m., at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena.

The Hawaii Swish competes in the American Basketball Association and had a spectacular debut season, with a perfect 4-0 record last year. Coached by former University of Hawaii basketball player Artie Wilson, the team’s players have strong local ties, including former UH standout and team owner Geremy Robinson

“We’re Hawaii’s first and only professional basketball team,” said Robinson. “We had a great first season. Our fans know we play awesome, exciting basketball and we invite everyone to watch as we go after another undefeated season and, ultimately, the ABA championship.”

The Hawaii Swish is scheduled for six games this season:

  • Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, vs. Southwest Atlanta Warriors
  • Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, vs. Twin City Jazz
  • Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, vs. Chicago Vipers

Opening game ticket stub holders also get discounted admission to the official Hawaii Swish After Party on Jan. 6, featuring Hawaii’s hottest new music artist Landon McNamara (“Loss For Words" and “Don’t Go Away”). McNamara’s debut album, “A Dollar Short and a Minute Late,” is already a big hit on iTunes and Billboard reggae charts.
