Hawaii Island police put out kidnapping alert

Posted: Updated:

Hawaii Island police need help finding three suspects that are still on the loose after a Puna woman was beaten and kidnapped at gunpoint.

Hawaii County Police say the victim was taken from her home Saturday afternoon and was later brought to the emergency room.  She suffered a non-life threatening injury from a crow bar.

One of the suspects is now in custody but police have not yet released which one of the four initial suspects they've caught.

The Puna kidnap suspects are: Joshua Sosa, 25; Nicole Nasario, 26; Claude Carvalho, 32; and Paul Alisa, 34.

They were last reported in a 1998 maroon Toyota Corolla, license plate HCD 702, with a rear window either broken or missing.

Police say they are considered armed and dangerous.

If you have any information on the suspects' whereabouts, call police at 965-2716.
