Mililani child reported missing found dead in neighboring pool
Paul “Kevin” Rozier was autistic and wandered away from his home Christmas Eve.
MILILANI, Hawaii - A tragic ending in the search for a missing Mililani boy on Christmas morning.
Paul and Jasmine Rozier tell us their 7-year-old son Paul “Kevin” Rozier apparently drowned less than a mile from their home on Lahe Street. A tearful group gathered outside an unoccupied home on Anania Drive where the boy's body was found floating in the back-yard pool.
Kevin's parents confirm he was autistic, and last seen wandering from home around 5 p.m. last night.
Both Honolulu Police and CrimeStoppers reached out for help to find him, and word spread quickly through social media, with neighbors, family, and friends joining the search Sunday night.
“First we went up to Walmart and checked all around over there, and then we went up to Mililani Mauka. We just went all over. We started looking for him at 5:30.” Said the Rozier’s neighbor Cortney Bailey.
The search was called off around midnight Sunday night.
Kevin’s cousin told us he was a sweet and polite boy who was loved by many. The family appreciates all the support they’ve received, but are asking for their privacy at this time.
Honolulu police say there were no signs of foul play in his death.
