(Hawaii Athletics) - The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball was picked to finish second in the inaugural preseason Big West Conference Coaches' Poll.

The Rainbow Warriors earned 32 votes trailing preseason favorite Long Beach State by two votes. The Beach earned four of the six first place votes while UH received the other two. UC Irvine and CSUN were picked third followed by UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego.
