HONOLULU - Hawaii's Bruno Mars received six Grammy nominations on Tuesday including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Jay-Z led the nominations with eight.

Mars' "24K Magic" got nominations for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best R&B Album.  "That's What I Like" was nominated for Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.

Mars has won five Grammys since 2010.

Ho'okena and Josh Tatofi were also nominated for Best Regional Roots Music Album.  In another local tie with the movie "Moana," "Moana: The Songs" was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media; Auli'i Cravalho's "How Far I'll Go" was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Mars' "24K Magic" album was also nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

The Grammy Awards will be given out on Sunday, Jan. 28.
