A banquet on Maui honoring Vietnam Veterans and hundreds of Vietnam veterans were turned away.
Each Veteran's Day, Na Koa Wahine holds events to honor vets on the Valley Isle. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The response was overwhelming, the venue reached capacity.
To make it right, they're planning a second banquet, to hand out honorary pins.
"This pain is something special, it's not just to be mailed or handed out to anybody, it has to be presented to them and in a semi formal matter," Chelsea Fernandez said.
Hawaii is home to about 36,000 Vietnam Veterans.
