HONOLULU -

An Oahu grand jury has indicted a woman in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Waimanalo last December that left a 6-month-old boy dead.

Annie Akau, who was 26 at the time of the crash, was charged with three counts of accidents involving death or serious bodily injury, one count of second-degree negligent homicide, and one count of driving without a license.

Bail was set at $25,000.  A bench warrant has been issued for her arrest.

According to Honolulu Emergency Medical officials, the children were with their parents in a marked crosswalk fronting Keneke's restaurant when they were hit by a white pickup truck. Both children suffered head injuries.

The family identified the infant who died as Donovon Kaleialoha Naleieha.  A 3-year-old boy was also hospitalized in serious condition.  He was identified by family members as Damien Hicks.

Officers said Akau fled the scene on foot with a baby in tow. Police arrested her within a few hours. Child Protective Services took Akau's child into custody.
