A 22-year-old man accused of murder in connection with a deadly shooting in Chinatown last month was indicted Tuesday by an Oahu grand jury.

Tiseya Eric Puapuaga was indicted on a second-degree murder charge and two firearms offenses, according to prosecutors.  Bail was set at $1 million.

Police say Puapuaga is suspected of shooting 34-year-old Isaac Mamea multiple times with a handgun when Mamea was sitting in front of the Maunakea Liquor & Grocery store at around 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 20.

Police say Puapuaga has ties to Northern California and previously lived in Sacramento.
