President Donald Trump has scheduled an upcoming trip to Asia.

It's planned for November 3-14.

Sometime during those dates, the White House announced the President will stop in Hawaii.

"I'm ecstatic braddah, hallelujah," Nathan Paikai, a Trump supporter said.

Paikai voted for Trump.

“If anybody has gotten America back to America, it’s Donald Trump," Paikai said.

But the President will be heading to a state where he received just 29-percent of votes in the General Election.

That's the lowest percentage of support for Trump across all 50 states.

When Island News told others the president is coming to Hawaii... The reaction to Trump's trip raised questions.

"Oh no. Why is that? Why do we want him here?" Ashley Ubben, an HPU student said.

The criticism doesn't stop there. On KITV's Facebook...

"What the heck, stay away. We don't need to give North Korea a reason to fire a missile." Wrote Rita Domingo.

"I hope it's a VERY short layover on their way to Asia." wrote Morgan Sky.

"God Bless our President and First Lady. You are welcome to come to Hawaii. ALOHA!!!" Wrote Garrett Hera.

President Trump will also be traveling to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines during his trip.

The White House says the President will be participating in the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
