HONOLULU - A suspect has been arrested following a fatal stabbing on Kina'u Street early Saturday morning.

26-year-old, AJ Achuo has been arrested for murder in the second degree.

Police responded to the bloody scene fronting the Kina'u Superette at around 1:30 a.m.

"They was saying his name... "Don't die, don't die.. please, please... and they was crying," witness Asabela Roman said.

Several bystanders broke down in tears at the scene and told KITV they saw two men arguing, before the alleged attacker pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.

 "They stabbed him here," Roman said, as she pointed to the side of her torso. "They grabbed my cousin and they was talking and talking and the boy.. pass by then he take out his knife.. he went and stabbed him."

Police say the victim died at the hospital.

Emergency Medical Services reported the victim was possibly 19 or 20 years of age.

EMS also treated another man in his 20's for other injuries.

Neighbors told KITV they're not surprised by the violence.

Various complaints about noise and suspicious activity has had them worried before.

Honolulu Police have opened a homicide investigation.
