HONOLULU - Today Governor David Ige could sign a big push for affordable housing in to law.
If signed $570,000,000 in state funds will go into creating about 25,000 affordable rental units across the state. 35% would go to the Hawaii Housing Finance Development Corporation so they can start building right away.
It also would reimburse developers whose projects meet certain criteria. That credit runs through the year 2030
