Mid Pacific Institute hosted a green energy summit for students across the islands this week.

It was the second annual student summit put on in partnership with Hawaii's Blue Planet Foundation.
Teachers teamed up with the foundation to design a curriculum that would get students thinking about ways to harness and apply alternative energy options.
The summit was a two-day interactive experience where students got a chance to understand renewable energy solutions for the future ultimately reducing Hawaii's carbon footprint.
