Nicole Carvalho is Hawaii born and raised. She’s is fifth generation islander. A proud graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute and a passionate theatrical performer, she spent her high school days studying theater and dance at the Mid-Pacific School of the Arts.
After living on the mainland for nine years while attending Kent State University in Ohio as well as traveling the world as a flight attendant, returning home to Hawaii was an absolute gift, one she never takes for granted.
Nicole has always had a passion for news and studied journalism at Hawaii Pacific University. She started her career as an intern at KHON, working her way up to assignment desk assistant/associate producer. While there, Nicole hosted shows such as the First Hawaiian Auto Show and various Ala Moana Center specials.
After years away from the industry, Nicole is thrilled to be back working at KITV Island News as a reporter for Good Morning Hawai’i.
On her days off, you can find her spending time with her husband or in Waimanalo riding her horse, Prince.
