The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no tsunami threat for Hawaii after a magnitude-7.3 earthquake struck Vanuatu Thursday morning.
It happened just after 9:30 a.m. HST. The epicenter was about 19 miles east-southeast of Lakatoro, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of 6.2 miles.
A Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected.
