HONOLULU - Honolulu has been listed as the the second safest city in America.

U.S. SmartAsset, a financial tech company, looked at violent crimes, car accidents, drug use and alcohol use to determine the results.

According to the study, Honolulu has a violent crime rate of 230 per 100,000 residents annually.

And when it comes to driving, residents are staying safe by staying out of their cars. 12 percent take public transportation, 11 percent walk or bike, and 56 percent drive to work alone.
