Te'o wins Lombardi Award
Award goes to college football's best lineman/linebacker
Notre Dame linebacker and former Punahou star Manti Te'o has won the Rotary Lombardi Award, given to the offensive or defensive linemen or linebacker who best exemplifies the discipline of Vince Lombardi, according to ESPN.
Te'o has already won the Nagurski Trophy and the Butkus Award along with being named one of three finalists for the Heisman Trophy to be handed out Saturday.
Te'o will travel to Orlando, Fla. for the Home Depot College Football Awards Show. He was in New York in Tuesday for the National Football Foundation banquet, where he was one of the scholar-athletes recognized.
Te'o will be in Newport Beach, Calif. on Sunday for the presentation of the Lott IMPACT Trophy for which he is one of four finalists.
