University of Hawaii Athletics Director Ben Jay says he "leaning strongly" toward naming all the men's sports teams "Warriors" and all the women's teams "Rainbow Wahine," according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

An official statement is expected in the next few days.

Right now, the football and men's volleyball teams are called "Warriors," the men's basketball team is named "Rainbow Warriors," and the baseball team is "Rainbows."

Jay says there needs to be consistency for marketing and branding reasons.
