Hawai’i Hilo is advancing to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship.
The Vulcans shot a 299 on the final day of the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional to make the cut and tied Chico State for second place.
Corey Kozuma and Chris Shimomura continued to lead the way for UHH as they had throughout the three-day tournament. Shimomura shot a 1-under 71 to finish in third place overall, surpassing Kozuma who held his own with a 1-over par 73 to finish in fourth place.
Dalen Yamauchi tied for 28th and Kyteon Littell continued to slash strokes off his score, shooting his best round of the tournament with a 76 to finish tied for 77th.
Hawai’i Hilo will play in the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship May 19-23 at the Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan.
