South Dakota State 38, Western Illinois 14: Austin Sumner threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns as the Jackrabbits handed the Leathernecks their first home loss.Zach Zenner rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns and South Dakota State (4-3, 1-2 Missouri Valley Conference), ranked No. 18 in the FCS Coaches Poll, snapped a three-game losing streak with its sixth straight victory over Western Illinois (3-4, 1-2).The Jackrabbits, who came in with an FCS-leading 11 interceptions, picked off four more passes - two by Winston Wright - that led to three TDs. Sumner turned two early interceptions into touchdown passes to give South Dakota State a 14-0 lead before the game was 6 1/2 minutes old.J.C. Baker rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns for Western Illinois, but quarterback Trenton Norvell finished 9-for-23 for 118 yards and the four picks. Baker's 1-yard run capped a 79-yard drive and cut the deficit to 24-14 with 35 seconds left in the third quarter.The Jackrabbits responded on the next play from scrimmage when Zenner broke loose on an 80-yard run down the left sideline before he put the game out of reach by scoring from a yard out to make it 38-14 with 12:51 to play. Jason Schneider had seven receptions for 118 yards and a score for South Dakota State.
