Flyers 6, Penguins 5: Jakub Voracek completed his first career hat trick by scoring to snap a tie with 1:31 remaining in the third period as visiting Philadelphia outslugged its Keystone State rival.

Wayne Simmonds collected two goals and an assist and defenseman Nicklas Grossmann registered his first goal of the campaign. Captain Claude Giroux notched a pair of assists and Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 27 shots for the Flyers, who avenged their season-opening loss to Pittsburgh with their second straight win.

James Neal scored his NHL-best eighth power-play goal this season and tied Buffalo's Thomas Vanek for tops in the league with 12 tallies. Evgeni Malkin, Tyler Kennedy, Brandon Sutter and defenseman Matt Niskanen also scored for the Penguins, who have been flustered by Philadelphia since losing last season's first-round matchup.

Neal scored on a 5-on-3 power play and Sutter converted on a wraparound to forge a 5-5 tie with 2:03 remaining in the third period. Undaunted, Voracek completed his hat trick after wiring a shot from behind the goal line which caromed off Tomas Vokoun (26 saves) and into the net for his sixth goal of the season.

After registering a career-high four assists in Monday's 7-0 victory over the New York Islanders, Voracek's sharp-angle shot gave Philadelphia a 3-2 lead with just 10 seconds remaining in the middle session. He added his second of the contest just 18 ticks into the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Malkin's tally on the doorstep extended Pittsburgh's streak to nine consecutive games with a power-play goal. Philadelphia entered the contest having not yielded a short-handed goal in its previous six games. ... Bryzgalov was making his first start in Pittsburgh since Oct. 7, 2009. ... Flyers C Matt Read, who leads the club with seven goals, suffered an upper-body injury in the first period and did not return to the contest.
