New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie has changed his tune about Tim Tebow.

After blasting the popular quarterback over Twitter on Tuesday, Cromartie praised Tebow to the New York Daily News on Friday.

"He's going to bring another element to the Jets," Cromartie said. "He's a winner. He's a guy that never quits. If you give him a chance to win a game, he's going to go out and win it. I think that's what (general manager) Mike Tannenbaum and Rex (Ryan) saw in him."

Cromartie's comments to the newspaper were decidedly different than what he posted on Twitter - prior to the Jets acquiring Tebow.

"We don't need Tebow," Cromartie wrote. "We sell out every home game, let him go to Jacksonville, Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can (be) run by (Jeremy) Kerley or Joe McKnight. We straight."

New York recently signed quarterback Mark Sanchez to an extension, therefore Tebow would be looked upon for a backup role or to be used in special packages.
