The University of Hawaii football game against Nevada on Saturday has been postponed, school officials said on Wednesday.

UH officials said that it was intending to make the trip to Reno, Nev., for the game. However, the team was unable to arrange a flight out by noon Thursday.

The game would have been Hawaii's conference opener.

Western Athletic Conference officials said that they would leave it up to the individual schools around the WAC on whether they would continue with games ths weekend.

San Jose State University and the University of Texas El Paso have already postponed their football games for the weekend.

The travel logistics were made difficult by the ban on flights on Tuesday and Wednesday because of the attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.

Anyone who purchased UH tickets for either football of volleyball matches that were postponed can get a refund from the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Refund requests can also be mailed to:

UH Ticket Office
1337 Lower Campus Road
Honolulu, HI 96822-2370

Those who may have purchased UH-Nevada football tickets directly from the University of Nevada can call (775) 348-7225 for refund information.
