Michelle Wie wrapped up the Evian Masters on Sunday with a 1-under to finish 12 strokes behind the winner, Jiyai Shin, of South Korea.

Shin birdied the 18th hole to win, shooting a 5-under 67 to finish at 14 under and one stroke ahead of Morgan Pressel, Na Yeon Choi and Alexis Thompson.

Shin’s fifth birdie in the final round put her one stroke clear of overnight leader Pressel, whose putt to force a playoff then rolled agonizingly over the hole without dropping in.

Wie carded four birdies, a bogey and a double-bogey in the final round to finish at 2-under par for the tournament in Evian-les-Bains, France.

The Punahou School graduate was among the leaders after the first round, but stumbled on the second day. Wie shot a quintuple-bogey on No. 10 on the second day.

Wie is still looking for her second LPGA Tour win. Her first win came last fall in Mexico.

The win is the seventh for Shin, who recently underwent emergency appendectomy just six weeks ago,
