University of Hawaii track and field athlete Amber Kaufman wins silver in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
University of Hawaii high jumper Amber Kaufman earned a silver medal at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

The UH junior lost out on the gold to Arizona's Elizabeth Patterson, who won with a height of 6 feet 4 inches.

Kaufman cleared up to 6 feet 2.75 inches.

It is her second silver medal. She won another at the 2009 championships.

Kaufman was Hawaii's only entrant in the championships.

The outdoor season begins next week for the Wahine at USC.
