Danielson Leads Wahine With 17 Kills

HONOLULU -- The University of Hawaii Wahine volleyball team swept New Mexico in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.Hawaii's Kanani Danielson led the team with 17 kills and three blocks. Stephanie Ferrell racked up 11 kills and two blocks at USCThe No. 3 Wahine (28-2 regular season) proved too much for the Lobos (20-9 regular season). New Mexico hurt its chances with seven service errors.The Wahine on Saturday take on the winner of the USC and Oklahoma match-up.Despite being ranked No. 3 in national polls, Hawaii is the 12th seed in the tournament.
