Mavericks Acquire Marion, Raptors Get Turkoglu In 4-team Trade

Dallas, TX -- (Sports Network) - The Mavericks on Thursday completed a four- team trade that brings forward Shawn Marion to Dallas, sends guard Jerry Stackhouse to Memphis and moves guard/forward Hedo Turkoglu to Toronto.Among the other parts of the deal, Toronto sends forward Kris Humphries and center Nathan Jawai to Dallas; guard Greg Buckner moves to Dallas from Memphis; and swingmen Antoine Wright and Devean George are going to Toronto from Dallas. Financial terms of the mega-deal were not disclosed. The Grizzlies are also getting a second-round pick and cash considerations from Toronto, while Orlando gets cash considerations from both Dallas and Toronto in exchange for dealing Turkoglu. Marion played in 42 games last season for Miami before being dealt to Toronto. Over 69 total contests, he averaged 12.9 points and 8.5 rebounds. For his 10- year career, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound Marion holds averages of 17.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 745 games (730 starts). Stackhouse averaged 4.2 points in 10 games for the Mavs last season, but missed most of the season with a right foot injury. Stackhouse boasts career averages of 18.4 points, 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 854 games (563 starts). Turkoglu helped lead the Magic to the NBA Finals last season while averaging 15.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists in 38.9 minutes in postseason play. In the Finals, the 6-foot-10 Turkoglu averaged a team-best 18 points and 4.6 boards in the five-game loss to the Lakers. "We are very pleased to have landed one of the top free agents available this summer," said Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo. "Hedo Turkoglu is an ideal fit basketball wise, and his diverse skill set and size will make him a tremendous addition to our already offensively potent team."
