NCAA Game Summary - Ohio University Vs. Western MichiganPOSTED: 2:11 pm HST March 10, 2009 Cleveland, OH -- (Sports Network) - Jerome Tillman led four players in double- figures with 14, and Ohio University defeated Western Michigan, 62-55, in first round Mid-American Conference Tournament action. Michael Allen, DeVaughn Washington and Steven Coleman each had 12 points for Ohio (15-16), which had lost three straight but advanced to face top-seeded Bowling Green on Thursday. David Kool led the Broncos (10-21) with 10 points, while Flenard Whitfield provided nine points in the loss. Shawntes Gary had eight points for Western Michigan, which finished its season with five losses in six games. Leading 25-21 at halftime, Ohio scored the first six points of the second half to take a 10-point advantage. Michael Redell's three-pointer with 3 1/2 minutes pulled Western Michigan to within one, 54-53, and Flenard Whitfield's jumper a minute later put the Broncos in front by a point.
