Moanalua High School sophomore Tadd Fujikawa, 16, golfed his way into stardom this weekend but it was back to reality on Tuesday.

The teen sensation headed back to school, but local and national TV crews followed him.

Instead of golf, Tadd was focused on science. The thousands of fans were gone, but the media was still there, including a camera crew from the Golf Channel.

"Hopefully in the next few days it will calm down a little bit, but as of right now it's still kind of busy," Fujikawa said.

Fujikawa's high school golf teammates and coach said his performance at the Sony Open was no surprise to them.

"I wasn't surprised. I knew he was going to make the cut and do good," teammate Kristina Merkle said.

"Tadd is one of the most mentally discipline individual I've seen," coach Joshua Suapaia said.

Tadd said his classmates talked to him about being on TV and getting a lot of attention, but said they are still treating him the same.
