Logan, UT -- (Sports Network) - The University of Hawaii accepted an invitation to the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl on Saturday, becoming the first school to receive and accept a bowl invitation in 2006.

The Warriors were invited to the bowl game after destroying Utah State, 68-10.

The school has gone 7-2 this season in the Western Athletic Conference and has won its last six games.

A school from the Pacific-10 Conference will be selected as Hawaii's opponent at a later date.
