In a battle of two football giants from Catholic high schools in different states, St. Louis took on Bishop Gorman from Las Vegas, Nev. Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.

The 11th-ranked Gaels came out swinging in the first half.  Bishop Gorman scored 28 unanswered points, including two touchdown passes from quarterback Jarrett Solomon.

In the second half, the Crusaders come back with three touchdowns in the third quarter to make it 42-20.

St. Louis actually outscores the Gaels in the fourth quarter but the first half scoring was too much to overcome.  The Crusader went down to the Gaels 52-40.

St. Louis quarterback Ryder Kuhns had three passing TDs with 247 yards in the air and a nearly 61 percent completion rate.

Junior Crusader running Adam Noga had a solid game with 193 yards on the ground and two TDs.

Senior Crusader wide receiver Kainoa Abreau had his best game of the season with 6 receptions for 96 yards and 3 TDs.

Gael quarterback Jarrett Solomon also had three passing TDs with 231 yards in the air and a 56 percent completion rate.  Solomon also had a rushing TD.

Bishop Gorman's offense was balanced Saturday night with each receiver, seven of them with at least one reception, gaining at least 20 yards.  Also, each passing touchdown was caught by a different receiver.

The Gael kicker, Kline Fiedlen, scored 10 points in the game.
