Nike unveils new Pro Bowl uniforms

Red and blue replaced by orange and volt

 UPDATED 12:35 PM HST Oct 08, 2013

The NFL and Nike Football unveiled the new uniforms for the 2014 Pro Bowl on Tuesday.

Nike says the NFL Nike Elite 51 Pro Bowl Uniform features a combination of lightweight and breathable fabrics.  The uniform is built for the speed and energy of the all-pro event and the heat of the host city, Honolulu.

The red and blue uniforms of the AFC and NFC are replaced by "accents of vibrant orange and volt (fluorescent yellow)."

The uniform will also feature Pro Bowl achievement stars on the nameplates.

The new uniforms come as the Pro Bowl has a different format.  Rather than pitting the AFC vs. NFC, players, coaches and fans will vote for the two teams.

The Pro Bowl will take place on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at Aloha Stadium.
