Hawaii MVP: Joey IosefaUPDATED 10:54 PM HST Mar 27, 2014Video Transcript
When HE first got to Hawaii back in 2-thousand-10, via Fagaitua High School in Pago-Pago, American Samoa, he was a QUARTERBACK, maybe 170- 180-pounds. Next TUESDAY, when the U-H football team kicks-off Spring Camp, he'll report as a 6- foot / 240-pound runningback, an absolute BEAST as ball-carrier, a sure-handed receiver out of the backfield, and a blocker not MANY wanna mess with. After sitting-out his first season at Manoa, he's put together IMPRESSIVE numbers, and he's one of the "Go To Guys" for the Rainbow Warriors on offense. 361-rushes for 16-hundred-01 yards. 49-catches for 362-yards, and SIXTEEN career touchdowns. U-H runningback Joey Iosefa, a "Game Changer", a "Difference Maker", he's our "Hawaii M-V-P" this week. If any of YOU have ideas who we should feature as a Hawaii M-V-P, hit us up at K-I- T-V dot-com Joey says there's expectation for BIG things next season, citing a MUCH improved off-season conditioning program. And behind his current offensive-line, Joey's got a PERSONAL of rushing for a THOUSAND yards in 20-14, with hopes of getting interest from the N-F-L. A poison dart frog raid!
