Mesa Wants New Trial Over Hawaiian AirPOSTED: 4:48 pm HST November 13, 2007 HONOLULU -- Lawyers for Hawaiian Airlines and Mesa Air Group, the parent company of go! Airlines, were back battling in court on Tuesday.It has been two weeks since a judge ordered Mesa to pay its rival $80 million in damages for misusing confidential information.Mesa Air Group wants a new trial, citing new evidence found on company hard drives.Hawaiian is asking that Mesa post a bond of $98 million while the appeal is being heard. That amount also covers close to $5 million in legal fees.Bankruptcy Judge Robert Faris said an appeal could take up three years to resolve.Lawyers for both sides in the high-stakes case are expect to be back in court on Monday.
