HONOLULU -

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard raised nearly $150,000 in the first quarter of this year. That's according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Rep. Gabbard is in her first term representing Hawaii's second congressional district in the U.S. House. The district covers rural Oahu and the neighbor islands.

She won the seat formerly held by Sen. Mazie Hirono, who took Daniel Akaka's place in the Senate.

Gabbard has more than $410,000 in her war chest. To date, she has no opposition going into next year's election.
